A note from the greenkeeper

The course has dried out nicely from the continuous rainfall. We are now into good spring growth with plenty of mowing. Even though there was snow on the ground Thursday morning before the men's 54 hole, the weather played its part in allowing us to get on the greens to be able to have our course in the best shape possible. Next week we will be getting back into our monthly routine of spiking and light sand top dressing.  By doing this, we have eliminated the need for coring, scarifying, or any hard renovation which disrupts play significantly. Slow release fertiliser and wetting agents will also be applied. We are trialling a new tee placement on the 10th. Tee off will now be from the clubhouse with the ladies tee adjacent to the practice net.  There are a few reasons for this, but I hope you enjoy and embrace the change.

Chocolate Golf Wednesdays.

Until further notice, chocolate golf will now tee off each Wednesday at 12 midday.

All members are invited to this fun and relaxed event.

Trial - Tee block for Hole 10

We will shortly trial a new location for the hole 10 tee block. This will be from the west end of the clubrooms.

Unusual Golf Rules/The Clubhouse Rule

If a shot ends up in the Hanmer Springs clubhouse, which is not out-of-bounds, you can open a door or window and play the next shot without penalty.
