For thirty years without fail, George and friends from down south have played at Hanmer Springs Golf Course. Always made to feel very welcome, this group of players keep coming back to our course year after year because of our top notch golf course and the other excellent amenities in the area. Its a great endorsement for our course by this lovely group.  See you all again in 2023.
 

Chocolate Golf Every Wednesday 

Come down and take part in our midweek competition for a friendly, enjoyable, and thrilling afternoon. A jovial group plays 18 holes every Wednesday at noon for chocolate and bragging rights.

It is the best entertainment in Hanmer and a terrific way to get to know other members, and it is followed by a sociable drink in the sunshine. No matter what your skill level, all members are very welcome.

This week Boio Sarahu Hothersall, who doesn't eat chocolate, increased the size of her already enormous chocolate collection, while William Taylor, Ken Williams, and Maree Herlund made a determined effort to take the runner up spots.

Mike's Pro Tip

Stay out of trouble,If you find yourself playing out of the rough or hitting trees a lot, this is for you. 
It is preferable to give up a few metres for a clean hit than to take a gamble and get into trouble. Don't add more difficulty to your game than is necessary. Play from the short grass.

If you find yourself in trouble, most times it is best to take your medicine and get out with the shortest path to the fairway. Don't turn a bogey into a double or triple.
