Alpine Village Inn Shootout Final

Congratulations to our winner, Joe Gantley.

The shootout concluded last Sunday on a warm and sunny day. There was much tension in the air, which reached a climax on the 18th green, where Joe Gantley and Adam Jacks found themselves all even at the end of play. Joe won the tournament with a chip-off shot to loud applause from the clubhouse.

Third, Gray Prebble

Fourth, Greg Samson   

Fifth, Brent Berry   

Sixth and the highest finishing lady Nicky West.

Jamie is leaving us.

Greetings fellow members!

As some of you know, our Course Superintendent, Jamie Buttrey, is leaving us after 9 years of stellar service.

Jamie has decided to take the next step in his career by accepting a more challenging role at Harewood Golf Club. Jamie has made the most of the opportunity our Club has given him to become a consummate professional greenkeeper, and anyone looking around our course today will attest to the huge contribution that Jamie has made. It is fair to say that our loss is very much Harewood’s gain.

Jamie’s last day with us is Friday, 1 December, and I know that I speak for all members in thanking him and wishing him every success in his new role.

If you see Jamie on the course over the next fortnight, please take a moment to thank him personally and wish him well.

We had a fine Spring Day for last weekend’s club day. The format was International Stableford and Dean Pollock romped home to win with 11points.
