Despite the inclement weather, the club was busy over the holidays, and there were plenty of brave souls playing the course. The ample rains have greened the grounds, and the course is looking lush and beautifully manicured.

Visitors and members are enjoying a first-class golfing experience at present. The feedback is enthusiastically positive.

The following are the results from the last couple of weeks.

4th January

Well done to Gray Prebble for a convincing win.

Two's and Nearest the Pin: Greg Samson.

11th January

Comeback kid Murray Pool won the Men's Summer Cup round, and Carolyn Williams had a solid victory in the Ladies Summer Cup.

Two's: Don Giles, Jeff Dalley and Murray Pool.

Nearest the Pin: Murray Pool

The 18th of January will be Net Medal.

This year's Hanmer Springs Thermal Pool and Spa Pro Am is going to be enormous. We have 160 players in the field, including 46 golf professionals. This promises to be a competitive and busy weekend, and everyone is welcome to come along and witness some incredible golf.

We are very fortunate to have the Senior PGA Championship at Hanmer Springs Golf Club. This is a very lucrative weekend for the club and the village by extension.

Please note that the course will be closed to members and green fee players on 31st January, 1st February, and 2nd February.

Thank you to all our sponsors and in particular The Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa.

Ladies Social Event

On Friday 10th of January, 11 ladies welcomed in the new year with a social  "9 hole Ambrose & Wine". It was great to have our President, Graham, join us for the day.

It was so nice to play golf in the sunshine!

We will be holding more of these events so be sure to keep an eye out for future notice.

Fund Raising Appeal

Many of you will remember our dear friend, member, and club volunteer Graham Rouse, who died tragically in a car accident almost two years ago.

We want to install a wooden bench on the course in memory of Graham and have started an appeal to fund this.

If you can spare anything at all, please pay at the account below.

Thank you.
