2025 Simes and Bascand Cups & Minson Salver

On Saturday 15th March 22 mixed pairs of players teed off at 9am to compete in the annual Simes and Bascand Cups and Minson Salver 27 hole mixed American foursomes competition.Many players found themselves playing from areas of the golf course they had never seen before. In the end, it was a great day’s golf, made all the better by the fantastic condition of the course and the beautiful weather.

The eventual winners of the Simes Cup,were the defending champions,

James Smith & Vivian Zhou with a Nett 87.5.

Runners up were Sandy & Greg Samson with a Nett 89

Third were Gary Cowan and Fiona Matheson with a Nett 91

The Bascand Cup, for Best Gross, was also won by the defending champions, Mel Newburnand Geoff Rudduck with a score of 106.

In second place were Brent Berry & Nicky West with a score of 108.

In third place were Carolyn Williams and Steve Hill with a score of 109.

The Minson Salver, for Best Nett

Won by Jade & Levi Sadler with a Nett 93.

Runners up were Mike & Liz Gibbon with a Nett 93.5.

St Patrick's Day at the Club

It was a sea of green at the club on Sunday as we celebrated St Patricks Day. The Guinness was flowing and there were plenty of Oirish accents to be sure!

Carolyn Williams organised a grand day starting with breakfast and ending with a sausage sizzle and cucumber.  In a particularly Irish twist, everyone was a winner on the day with prizes galore and much laughter.

Well done to Lynnie Nevin for winning the golf and to Rae Bowyer for winning best dressed.  

Well done to all for playing in such a good spirit and thank you Carolyn.

Alpine Classic and Course Closure

This weekend we welcome our regular visitors competing in the Alpine Classic Tournament. 

The course will be busy and we have a close out in place as follows

Saturday 22nd March course closed until 11am. Club Day tee off between 11am and midday.

Sunday 23rd March course closed until 1pm.

We wish all our visitors and members competing in the Alpine Classic the very best of luck.
